Raw 25.03.2024

Whoo-hoo! RadiantGame Team is now in your city Chicago, Illinois!

This is set to be a massive night for the WWE Universe. Andrade is going head-to-head with Ivar, a collision that’s bound to shake things up. And with CM Punk making his long-awaited return in his hometown, Chicago’s about to get hotter than ever. Drew McIntyre better tread carefully tonight. But, of course, the moment everyone’s waiting for: The Bloodline’s invasion of Raw and the colossal face-off between The Rock and Cody Rhodes. It’s time to dive in!

The Rock Gets Under Cody’s Skin

Who else but Seth Rollins, Drew McIntyre, or Cody Rhodes could open Monday Night Raw? This time, it was Cody, hyping up the crowd and setting his sights on Roman Reigns. Now, most people avoid the Universal Champion, but Cody isn’t like most people. He’s a unique force in WWE, a guy who’ll tackle any subject and lay it all on the line. But sometimes, his unwavering focus on becoming the next Universal Champion blinds him to the moment.

"I respect you, Tribal Chief, but make no mistake—I hate your guts," Cody declared, leaving no doubts. Just as he began talking about his plans to defeat Roman, it happened—the arrival of The Final Boss himself, The Rock.

Raw 25.03.2024 post image 1Raw 25.03.2024 - Cody still dreaming about finishing his story on a greatest stage of the year.

With a new, ominous theme song and more intensity than ever, Rock entered without a hint of fear. Cody, though, looked genuinely shaken. I’ve always admired Rock's ability to flip from beloved babyface to sinister villain, as he’s done now. The crowd knew they were in for something special, chanting, “This is awesome!” as these two giants locked eyes. With no mic, Rock leaned in close, muttering something to Cody that seemed to get under his skin, and then walked away with a smirk. Cody’s face said it all—whatever Rock said hit hard.

Raw 25.03.2024 post image 2Raw 25.03.2024 - What The Great One told to Cody Rhodes?

Seconds later, WWE’s stunning interviewer Jackie Redmond caught up with The Rock backstage, asking him, "What did you say to Cody Rhodes?" Rock’s response? Cold as ice: "Go ask Cody Rhodes." Jackie was left guessing—just like us.

Judgment Day’s Full Plate

Backstage, Mami seemed tense, worried about her “Latino Heat,” who hadn’t clued her in on his plan to interfere in his father’s match. Tonight, Judgment Day is on a mission. Dirty Dominik made it crystal clear: "Ricochet won’t make a fool of us any longer," he promised with steely confidence. Meanwhile, Priest hinted that he has something up his sleeve to make their title defense at WrestleMania a little smoother.

Ricochet Keeps Making Judgment Day Look Like Fools

If Ricochet wins tonight, his wife, Samantha Irvin, will be thrilled to announce him as the victor, especially with the winning streak he's riding. He’s already managed to defeat Judgment Day’s younger stars, and I think he deserves another victory. But, of course, there’s always the wildcard—Dominik Mysterio—lurking to mess things up. Then again, wouldn’t it be poetic if Rey Mysterio made a surprise appearance to throw a wrench into his son’s plans?

Raw 25.03.2024 post image 3Raw 25.03.2024 - Recoil is always looking great wen Ricochet performing it.

During the match, Ricochet dominated with his high-flying moves, keeping the upper hand against McDonagh. But Judgment Day countered with a standout Spanish Fly and a rare Brainbuster that slowed Ricochet's momentum briefly. Then came the moment that had the crowd gasping—Ricochet hit a hurricanrana-like maneuver from the top rope, setting up his Recoil. Yet, just as he was about to secure the win, Dominik put McDonagh’s leg on the rope, keeping the match alive. This allowed McDonagh to capture the lead, but Ricochet kept dazzling with jaw-dropping moves—a Canadian Destroyer, and nearly a victory with a 450 splash, if not for another distraction by Dominik.

Raw 25.03.2024 post image 4Raw 25.03.2024 - Rick is ready to end his opponent with Shooting Star Press.

But Ricochet wasn't about to let Judgment Day steal this one. In the end, his flawless Shooting Star Press put McDonagh down for the count. Ricochet showed incredible skill tonight, and who knows? This could be the start of a new chapter in his career.

Hope is Back as CM Punk Returns

Phil Brooks couldn’t have chosen a better moment to return than right here in front of his hometown crowd. Punk, ever the joker, teased that while his elbow might not be at 100%, his mouth is—and while we’re not on Netflix just yet, we might have to wait a bit longer for him to let loose! (In case you missed it: when Netflix takes over Raw, the rating is set to shift to PG-16, allowing the wrestlers more freedom in their promos.) Punk then turned to WrestleMania, hinting at potential roles he might play at the big event. Could he be the PLE host, or perhaps a special guest referee in a major showdown? I think you all know which match he’s eyeing.

Raw 25.03.2024 post image 5Raw 25.03.2024 - Chicago own CM Punk!

Names like Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and The Rock rolled off Punk’s tongue, each getting his trademark smack talk. Punk mentioned that The Rock hadn’t brought him up—maybe because, as he put it, “I whooped his ass with the title ten years ago!” (Conveniently leaving out that it was a sneak attack). Although any of these top names could face Punk, Drew McIntyre might just be the most likely opponent—and without hesitation, Drew appeared on cue. Unfazed, Punk taunted Drew, calling him out: “Get in the ring, Drew!” But McIntyre isn’t reckless, and he won’t take unnecessary risks. Drew admitted that Punk’s return has been motivating him, whether in the gym or the ring, even calling Punk his “muse.” It’s surprising to see Drew doing more talking than fighting these days—something’s changed.

Raw 25.03.2024 post image 6Raw 25.03.2024 - Nowadays Drew is more speaking then fighting, some kind of a grim showman.

Their back-and-forth was loaded with references and barbs. Punk poked at Drew’s nickname, smirking, “You’re the ‘Chosen One,’ huh? Well, who exactly chose you?” No one’s looking to hear Vince McMahon’s name in this, that’s for sure. But Drew had his own idea—he invited Punk to be a guest commentator for his match with Seth Rollins. Right on cue, the flamboyant World Heavyweight Champion himself, Seth Rollins, strutted into the scene, much to Punk’s annoyance.

Seth wasted no time, throwing shade at Punk and asserting his place as champion: “No one talks about the destiny of the Heavyweight title without involving the champion.” Seth even liked the idea of Punk joining the historic match as either a commentator or even a referee. This is one confrontation you’d want to watch yourself—it’s packed with sharp lines. Although Seth dismissed Punk as a threat, he still warned him to stay out of his way.

Raw 25.03.2024 post image 7Raw 25.03.2024 - Seth silenced Draw for tonight with huge Stomp.

As things wrapped up, Punk promised to make both Drew and Seth “interesting”—and that was the last straw for McIntyre. But before Drew could fire back, Seth shut him down with a sudden superkick, ending the exchange with a Stomp to silence Drew for the night. It was an intense segment that I highly recommend watching!

Attempt at Revenge

Tonight, Ivy Nile goes head-to-head with Candice LeRae, who recently caused some serious mental anguish for her friend, Maxxine Dupri. This is a prime chance for Ivy to prove what she's made of. From the start, Candice came out swinging, relentless and aggressive, tossing Ivy out of the ring multiple times. Even Maxxine caught a stray forearm. Candice faked a leg injury, luring Ivy in before rolling her up for a sneaky, dirty win. Watching from ringside, Indi was visibly displeased—and honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if this team splits soon for the better.

Raw 25.03.2024 post image 8Raw 25.03.2024 - Ivy is ne of the strongest little woman in nowaday roster, what do you think?

Friendly Competition or a Setup?

Tonight’s match sees DIY taking on The New Day, with Awesome Truth providing commentary. There’s no bad blood between these teams, so this was set up to be a clean, straight-up fight—unless the current champions, as hinted by Damian Priest, decide to meddle. Damian did mention he had a “plan,” and what better plan than to take down their opponents so they’re not medically cleared for WrestleMania?

Raw 25.03.2024 post image 9Raw 25.03.2024 - I have no idea why allied tams would compete just before big match on WrestleMania.

The match itself was impressive; both teams brought their A-game, keeping the audience guessing as they exchanged leads. But as predicted, Judgment Day stormed in, disrupting the match and dismantling both DIY and The New Day. Miz and Truth, watching from the commentary table, initially hesitated to jump in, but Miz eventually tried to help—only to be met with a South of Heaven for his efforts. Truth, desperately explaining that he was only a commentator tonight, couldn’t escape the wrath either. Judgment Day’s dominance was clear as Coup de Grâce and Razor’s Edge left Truth motionless in the ring. Judgment Day stood tall, making their intentions brutally clear.

Raw 25.03.2024 post image 10Raw 25.03.2024 - R-Truth tries to convince Judgment Day that he is not fighter tonight.

What Did The Final Boss Say?

Later, Jackie Redmond attempted to get a response from Cody Rhodes about The Rock’s words earlier. Cody looked visibly uneasy and rattled, clearly affected. All he could say, cryptically, was, “It was a promise he can’t keep.

Gunther Isn’t Worried About His Match

The Ring General, Gunther, isn’t fazed by the prospect of facing Sami Zayn. He’s clearly not buying into Sami’s ability to win tonight and has zero faith in Sami being a legitimate threat against Bronson Reed. I have a feeling Gunther will be joining the commentary team to share his thoughts on the match—and perhaps take a few jabs at Sami while he's at it.

Change of Plans for Andrade

Tonight’s scheduled match between El Idolo, Andrade, and Ivar took an unexpected turn. Unfortunately, Ivar isn't medically cleared, so Andrade will instead face Giovanni Vinci. While Vinci is undoubtedly talented and strong, I’m not convinced he can pull off the upset.

Raw 25.03.2024 post image 11Raw 25.03.2024 - Slowly Andrade start crawling his way to the top.

The match started smoothly, with Andrade combining his high-flying skills and impressive physicality to take control. Vinci showed promise, getting close to taking down Andrade, but a series of blows led to him losing his footing. In the end, Andrade finished the match with his signature Las Sombra, claiming another victory—likely a statement aimed at Judgment Day.

Mami’s Time to Shine

Can you feel how much screen time Judgment Day is racking up on every episode of Raw? Tonight, the Women’s Champion, Rhea Ripley, decided it was her moment to speak her mind. She’s frustrated that Becky Lynch isn’t giving her the attention she deserves, instead focusing on endless brawls. Rhea demands Becky’s attention, and it seems like The Man obliged.

Raw 25.03.2024 post image 12Raw 25.03.2024 - I feel that Mami doesn't consern Becky as a big threat to her title rain.

As usual, Becky focused on how hard she’s working in the ring, but Rhea held her ground, ready to challenge her. It’s the same old story from Becky, and honestly, it’s getting boring. Rhea compared Becky to a cockroach—hard to kill but not impossible. At WrestleMania, Rhea intends to put Becky down and show her daughter who the real “Mami” is.

Raw 25.03.2024 post image 13Raw 25.03.2024 - Lynch is already used to punch males into face.

Becky’s response? A cringeworthy expression that made her look like an ugly sycophant spouting off tired insults: “If this is a joke for you, it’s not a joke to me. I’m a mother; I have to be…” and so on. Brrr, I really can’t stand this version of Becky Lynch. Meanwhile, Rhea seemed almost perplexed by what this unstable character might do next.

Raw 25.03.2024 post image 14Raw 25.03.2024 - Several weeks ago these two woman fight against Nia, today they try to tear each other apart.

As tensions escalated, Dominik took a punch to the face, which ignited the brawl. Rhea retaliated against Becky, sending her crashing into the ring post. Let’s not forget, Becky initiated this by attacking Rhea from behind. Referees and Rey Mysterio had to step in to break them apart, but the catfight continued. At this rate, I fear Becky might get injured if this fight doesn’t calm down. A host of WWE officials eventually managed to separate them, but I’m wishing Rhea good luck in her title defense!

Chad as Mental Coach for Sami Zayn

Backstage, Chad Gable urged Sami Zayn not to doubt himself tonight. Gable emphasized that the focus should be on Bronson Reed, not Gunther, and that Sami must concentrate. Together, they can set the right tone for Zayn ahead of his WrestleMania match.

Bronson Reed Making a Statement?

Once again, Big Bronson Reed is set to clash with a highly motivated Sami Zayn. The last time they met, Reed was on the receiving end of a Sunflip Bomb and got pinned by the bearded powerhouse. What could possibly change tonight? Personally, I suspect a well-placed Halluva Kick could seal the deal, but let’s see how things unfold.

Raw 25.03.2024 post image 15Raw 25.03.2024 - Just look at this monster Bronson. Never want to cross his way in on a narrow street.

Surprisingly, this match proved to be challenging for Sami. Reed is a massive and intimidating presence, making it tough for Zayn to lift and throw such a formidable opponent. The Ring General himself decided to observe the action from the ramp, and while he can say what he wants, I suspect he respects his opponent's tenacity.

Raw 25.03.2024 post image 16Raw 25.03.2024 - I was really surprised when Sami managed to beat this beast off his legs.

Bloodied and furious, Bronson Reed was determined to prove himself tonight. Sami endured a lot of punishment but somehow found a way to gain the upper hand—until he lost focus, trying to impress Gunther, his future opponent. This lapse in concentration led to Reed capitalizing on the moment, smashing Sami's head with a devastating clothesline and finishing him off with a Tsunami. What an unexpected turn of events! The first contender actually lost the match. Sami must refocus on his goals, and with Chad Gable's help, he can avoid being completely overwhelmed in the biggest match of his career.

Guidance from Master Gable

As Gable noted earlier, Gunther has a knack for getting inside the heads of his opponents, causing them to doubt themselves—a key part of his success over the past 600 days. Next week, Sami needs to sit down with Gable to strategize on how to overcome this mental pressure. It’s crucial for Zayn to have the right mindset heading into WrestleMania.

Final Boss keeps his promise

For some reason, Shinsuke Nakamura decided to find himself a new kind of trouble by challenging Jey Uso to a match. It might seem foolish, but tonight, Uso will be well-prepared for his upcoming showdown with his brother. The issue is that Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa are lurking around. Seth Rollins approached Jey, promising that he and Cody would have his back tonight, but the champion has a bad feeling about the main event. If you ask me, here’s what I predict: Drew McIntyre will strike Seth down for earlier events, and Cody will be ambushed by Jimmy and Solo, paving the way for a beatdown that could ruin Jey's match. Let’s watch and see if my predictions hold true or if I’m just a fool.

Raw 25.03.2024 post image 17Raw 25.03.2024 - Nakamura is looking for troubles every week and tries to consume piece he can not swallow.

In the previous match, I had my doubts about Reed, but can I trust Nakamura? Hell no! While he might showcase some impressive moves, he has a track record of losses, so this match should go well for Jey. As Pat McAfee pointed out, Shinsuke is frustrated about not having a match at WrestleMania while Jey does. It’s ridiculous—Nakamura has had countless chances to claim a spot in the biggest PLE but squandered them all, yet now he’s lamenting others' successes.

Raw 25.03.2024 post image 18Raw 25.03.2024 - Drew simply could not leave Stomp without any answer.

Jey looked sharp tonight, thrilling us with his classic back-and-forth combinations. However, Shinsuke was still able to show some offense of his own. The problem is that he often misses his key move—Kinshasa. Things turned sour when Jimmy and Solo arrived at ringside. Cody and Seth quickly took out Solo and Jimmy, but as expected, Drew couldn’t handle the shame of getting stomped by Seth earlier and attacked with a Future Shock DDT. Meanwhile, Uso speared Shinsuke, winning his match. Nobody spoiled his moment, thanks to his friends Cody and Seth. Unfortunately for Seth, he ended up on the receiving end of Drew's wrath with a DDT. This is war!

Raw 25.03.2024 post image 19Raw 25.03.2024 - The Final Boss fulfill his promise he gave earlier this evening.

We were left with Cody and Jimmy, who were still brawling backstage. Solo somehow got involved too and put up a fight, but trouble was looming. The Final Boss made his presence felt. With ruthless efficiency, he smashed Cody against walls, equipment, and even used trash cans as weapons. They spilled outside, where the rain was pouring, and Cody lay on the wet concrete.

Raw 25.03.2024 post image 20Raw 25.03.2024 - A special gift for Mama Rhodes from The Rock.

Look at you now, Chicago! Look at your hero. Mama Rhodes, I have a special gift for you!” he taunted, throwing Cody toward a WWE truck and slamming his leg. Cody was utterly defenseless. This all stemmed from him meddling in The Rock's business. Bleeding and vulnerable, Cody lay before The Rock, who had the opportunity to do whatever he wanted. He brandished a special white belt, having taken some of Cody’s blood to stain it, fulfilling his promise to leave a mark on the belt with his opponent's essence. This moment was undeniably evil and cruel, as The Rock vowed to make Cody understand the meaning of hard times. The Final Boss thoroughly dismantled Cody Rhodes tonight, sending a hard message to the entire WWE roster.

Final Thoughts and Ratings

Wow, this Raw was packed with surprises, and I can’t say it hasn’t left me reeling. The Rock's appearance, without a clear message, sets the stage for next week while delivering a strong statement to Cody. Drew was so fixated on CM Punk that he overlooked Seth as a threat, and he was rightfully punished for that. Sami Zayn’s loss was hard to believe, as Bronson Reed actually took down the number one contender for the Intercontinental Title. Sure, Gunther might have interfered, but let’s be honest—he was miles away from the ring; this was all on Sami and his misjudgments.

Raw 25.03.2024 post image 21After this attack on Cody Rhodes what was really unexpected and brutal I think that soon we will see a severe response. But I fear that this could be the same picture on Day One on WrestleMania.

And then, we witnessed one of the most brutal and vicious attacks from Dwayne on Cody. Without any hesitation, the Final Boss taught him a lesson about respect, making his life miserable. I was surprised Jey Uso wasn’t there to help Cody; perhaps Solo and Jimmy kept him from intervening. Cody looked pitiful, trapped under the mountain of a man above him. This will undoubtedly have serious consequences on the upcoming SmackDown, but I’m not sure Rhodes will be able to fight back anytime soon. My rank will be solid 8,5/10 for tonight's episode. Stay tuned for how these events develop on SmackDown—don’t miss it!
